Default Shorty and GS mini?

I have a GS mini and like it pretty well, but am looking for something similar in size but with more low-end and maybe more projection. I also find the mini can break up if I really bang on it. At times the break-up is what I am looking for, but not most of the time. It tends to scare my cats.

So, I have been looking at carbon fiber guitars and the Shorty seems close in size and the you-tubes sound pretty **** good. Has anyone played it against a mini?

I am wondering if I need to move up to Rainsong Dread, or the like to get the fuller bass or if a mini could pull it off.

thoughts?

Don't know if you've been in touch with Ted @ LA Guitar Sales, but he sells both and would probably be able to give you a thorough A/B rundown....

I've played them both, and probably the worst thing about the Shorty is the name, as it leads people to expect a 3/4 size travel guitar. It's really a full sized guitar, just with a 12 fret neck. And while it's not a jumbo or dread, it's going to handing full out banging much better than the GS Mini.

I am very curious about the Lucky 13, which is similar in size, but not identical, to the Mini.

The Lucky 13 is a very nice guitar. I have owned both the Mini and the 13 and like them both, but found the Lucky 13 to be more versatile.

I spoke with Ted and am very impressed. This a guy who knows his stuff and is willing to take the time to really get to know what you "need".
