Default Different strings on the X7

I hadn't been playing the X7 much lately, then came the failed nylon string experiment, so I had to put some new steel strings back on it, had some extra DR Rares that I always liked on my Martins, so I put them on. I have really only had Elixir nano lights on it before, a good safe choice of decent strings. I am really liking the DR's, the hint of plastic/toy guitar sound I had been hearing with the Elixirs is gone. Not as much bass as the Elixirs, but a sweeter voice I really enjoy. I'm not saying the DR's are better than the Elixirs, I think they are just different. But I am playing the X7 a lot more now, so that says something. A change is good sometimes I guess. What other strings have you guys found that works well on the X7 ?

I've been enjoying some custom gauge Curt Mangan PBs (12, 16, 23, 32, 42, 55). They sound warm but still clear.

The gauges were a big deal to me because the stock 13s felt a little too thick for me, specifically for flat picking.

I've been using DR Veritas strings lately. I'm not sure yet if I prefer them to the prior D'Addario PBs I was using or not. FYI, I'm using mediums (12s or 13s) because for me I've found that there is less noise coming from the neck (mine is an early model with a hollow neck - no truss rod) and frets with heavier strings.
