Thumbs up Clearly this forum is to blame!!

So, here I am a few weeks ago minding my own business, relaxing and reading the AGF. Then I see it - A brand new forum called Nylon-String Guitar. So I say to myself, "What the heck, lets take a look around". Well, that's when it turned bad. Before I knew it this 50yr old dreadnought strummer was smitten with the nylon bug.

Over the last few weeks, I've read about nylon strings, stopped by almost every guitar store I could think of to test drive and today joined your ranks by purchasing a wonderful little Schertler nylon in Indian Rosewood and Swiss Spruce.

I'm now very excited to be learning something new as I begin to go down the fingerstyle path. I have a great feeling that this little nylon string guitar is going to make it all fun again!

So, I'm blaming this forum for thrusting this new found joy onto me.

Thanks everyone!

Mark

I'll try to get some up later today. I've never done it so it will be yet another new experience!

Yup, that's actually why I decided to go with the guitar. I already have a Unico amp and the guitar comes pre-installed with their best dual source pick-up system.

Hi Mark,

Congratulations on your new Schertler Nylon-String Guitar!

I'm considering one of Schertler's Steel-String models. Please PM me with the name and web-address of your U.S.A. Schertler Guitar dealer. Thanks!

Regards,

SpruceTop

Clearly, we hope that some might prefer to substitute "gets the credit."

Congratulations! How 'bout some sound clips?

Sound Clips!!... I only posted my very first photos two days ago and now you want sound clips already??

I'd have to learn how to play the thing first!!

Hopefully in time, I'll get something posted.
Cheers,

Mark

Yes. Today, please.

Patience in learning about new guitars has never been a feature of the AGF.

(I've never posted a sound clip, either...)

Mark,

Thanks for posting the photos. I am not a fan of cutaways, but the lines of this guitar are so asymetrically unique and beautiful they inspire wonder and amazement. In all honesty, it does not look like a comfortable guitar for playing in a sitting position, but I would be inspired to stand and deliver. May the Gawds bring the fair winds of success to the Schertler-Pagelli parntership.

So far it is all about looks... please let us know how she plays after giving a good test drive. (TIP: Learning fingerstyle, after being an exclusive flatpicker for many years, requires great patience... trust me, I know... make yourself a hard rule to never touch your beauty with a pick, no matter how tempted you are)
