Default 1940 Gibson L-12

I am looking at a 1940 Gibson L-12, all original in very good condition for its age. I want it but I do not want to overpay. Any insight on its value would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gryphon has a 16" L12 now,5500.00...,I believe you want carved braces not the kerfed type...
