Ok, I thought it was basically a nice tune showing promise. I thought it would benefit from some more playing giving it some more fluidity if that makes sense. Keep ‘em coming!

Hey Robroy - thanks for the constructive feedback! “fluidity” is a great word, I try to flow, however I always battle my hands becoming too “harsh” while attempting smooth movements between fret board positions, but sometimes it’s not happenin’ - We’ll see what happens next on this never ending guitar journey...
Other comments are also welcome ....

First post but 81 subscribers? Where you been hiding?
That was enjoyable and looked like great fun to play. I’m in no position to give advice, but some EQ might have helped bring out the finger work on the higher strings versus the lower. But I still got a kick out of it all the same. Well done! Cheers, Dave |

Hey SuperBitter... thanks, I agree, but I’m keeping recording devices (cost) to a minimum & just using my iPad to record my endeavors ...
Bye the way, I really enjoyed your rendition of Melissa! Is that a maple Taylor? cheers ...

Hi Russ,
I completely get how the $s can run away from the fun of actually playing! You may want to look into the iRig Recorder 3 - I think it's free for iOS and it has some effects bundled in (including EQ), but again, I enjoyed your tune as it was. And thanks for the kind comment re: my take on Melissa! It definitely benefitted from big open chords on the maple Taylor. I love the tone of that guitar. Cheers, -Dave |
