Yes, the more I try to describe tone the more I confuse myself (and others).

The bottom line is that I really dig this guitar and consider it a keeper. My experience with Bruce has been thoroughly positive.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I've been with every guitar I've bought

Except that I've never ever sold any of my keepers (paraphrasing Taylor Swift here)...

Congrats on the new guitar. It looks and sounds beautiful. Your playing is awesome. You coax such emotion and soul from your guitars when you play. What is your back story ? A professional musician ? If not you should be ? Thanks for the inspiration to play more precisely and with more emotion.

John

Thanks for the kind words.

I've been playing music for as long as I can remember -- however I was never disciplined enough to play in a classical orchestra. And I also noticed at a young age that unlike violinists there's only one pianist per orchestra -- tough competition...

While I took formal piano lessons for most of my childhood and teenage years, I didn't pick up the guitar until the age of 13 or 14. My mind was set on having a "real career" and playing guitar for a living never even crossed my mind.

I love playing the guitar -- and whether it is in front of my camera or a live crowd makes no difference to me. Sure I'd love to go on tour with Taylor Swift but short of that opportunity I'm happiest when I can share my obscure originals with anyone who cares to listen to them.

Here's my first original written on the Yellow Rose, in memory of Eddie, Bruce's best friend and companion in the last 13 years.

Photo of Eddie used with permission by Bruce Petros.

Thank you for listening.

Hi Mau,

That was very sweet -- just a lovely composition and beautifully played! Great to hear from you again, Mau. And the guitar sounds stunning, as usual.

Wrong thread -- but thanks...

I played "Druim Lochmaighe" on an OM by Ray Kraut (as per the video description).

You can find the build thread here: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=248567
