tuning an 8 up to G#4
I know I can safely tune to G no problem on a 25. How doable is the string at G#4 on a 25. It's a half step above where the octave G is tuned on a 12 string.

Could we have that in English please?

You are pushing your luck on standard scale length guitars, but it should go. After all, 12-string players routinely tune 9s and even 10s to G. An 8 to G# is not so different. But 8s are always tricksy little things, so expect to break one now and then. Be sure to carry spares!

And...what are you tuning the rest of your strings to?

Standard. Just seeing how much bending it can take. Some have gotten to A4 or even Bb4. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4bpEEOBm_tc&t=352s Managed to reach B flat with a 8.5 and 7. It might tolerate some bending at G#4.
