Arrow SOLD: 2017 Martin Custom Gorgeous Bearclaw Burst...NEW-Videos added!!

2017 Martin Custom Gorgeous Bearclaw Burst

This guitar is a bargain at this price...a CUSTOM guitar at FAR LESS than custom price.

In light of the fact that I have a custom nearing completion, I started going through my guitars and deciding which I needed to sell to provide the cash to pay the builder. I have a couple more listings that will follow as well. It always involves tough decisions about what to sell and what to keep. But in the end, it's just what ya gotta do...

I bought this guitar some time ago because I was just "taken" with the burst and the modest bearclaw. I really like the herringbone rosette, and combined with the stunning quilted Maple back and sides...the mix is what through me "over the edge" lol. This guitar has been a real treat to play as it has a very delightfully unique tone that is slightly more to the "fundamental side", although it has some rish overtones as well. I had always been deceived to think that Maple guitars were too "bright", and what I've found with this guitar is that there's a reason why so many people like Maple guitars over some of the rosewood and mahogany counterparts. I really love the tone.

Anyway the guitar is in fantastic condition (as is the case) with no marks of any kind that I can find on it. Certainly it has been played, but there is no fret wear as the previous owned had numerous guitars like I do and rotated between this one and others for play time. I did upgrade the tuners to some sweet antique Gotohs that "complete" the look. Someone will love this guitar!!

The guitar has always remained in the case when not played or in a humidity controlled guitar room.

A few details:

Body shape: OM
Top: Bearclaw Sitka Spruce
Back and Sides: Quilted Maple
Body width: 15"
Nut width: 1 11/16
String spacing: 2 and 1/8
Style: 28 appointments
Tuners: Gotoh Antique Gold
Neck: modified low oval neck
Martin hard shell case

Here's a couple videos done with my phone and no audio enhancements:

Also, in case you missed it earlier I posted a picture of the case:

Price: SOLD! plus Insured shipping and Paypal. I will (still) consider reasonable offers

Beautiful guitar. Wondering if you have the original build sheet? It appears to be a "deep-body" OM--do you know if this is so? Also, any idea as to what the original MSRP was?

Hey Mike

What a way to start the new year with such a beautiful guitar.
Definitely a drooler as in I drool just looking at it.

The custom shop at Martin does wonders. I would know.
Talk soon.

Thank you! I’m sorry I don’t have the build sheet or the original MSRP.

Regarding the body depth, the lower bout is 4" deep

Longshot question--would you be willing to share the serial # of this guitar? At least the first four numbers? Thanks.

Mike,
I have never acquired a guitar that was anything short of outstanding from your endless collection of supreme guitars.
There are a few AGF guys here that I would trust implicitly and you Mike are in that list.

Talk soon
