Default Lonely People (Instrumental)

Lonely People released in 1974 by the band America. Great lyrics in this song but of course I can’t sing nor could I write this arrangement but I did play & record it. Fun to play & here’s my process if interested.

Lag HyVibe guitar recorded using a Shure SM57 (Layered) panned hard left/right.
BlueRidge 160 high strung for middle of the road.
Studio One for my DAW

I hope you enjoy it.

Mike

Sounds great...is that Dan Holloway's arrangement? He is a master.

That was lovely, Mike. You really captured what the song is all about. Who says we need words

Great job, Mike!! Really appreciate the work around 1:47 that you included in there. Not easy! Recorded sound is really fine too!
All the best,
Fred

Mike,
Great job, I found myself silently singing it to myself (per wife’s preference)!

Thanks for sharing!

Yes it's Dan's arrangement. I have learned so much from him and I probably would have never discovered his teaching were it not for this forum.
Great teacher with wonderful arrangements.

Thank you for commenting.

I have often wondered if I can hear when my guitar is out of tune, why is it so difficult to sing in key? For me "it just ain't happening" . With that said I had no choice but to learn arrangements like this that includes the melody!

Thank Bob

Thanks so much Fred for your attention to that - it was/is a challenge for me but very rewarding when I get it right. My old swollen joints didn't want to co-operate.

I appreciate your comments.

Hello Bill. I too like to sing along. I am a single parent, my youngest daughter is disabled and lives with me and she doesn't care for my singing. If I want the truth about my efforts she is the one to ask!

Thanks

Mike
