Default NGD (x2)

Hey all, first post.
I'll generally listen and learn, but I couldn't resist this one.
Got the large oblong box today. Inside was a braz/ital spruce Claxton EM. Oh yeah!
Played for beans half my life, and always had great tools, but this is in the top 2 alltime.
The other is a Ryan "el milagro"/swiss that showed up about 3 months ago.
It's been a nice 90 days....
Thanks for today, Robbypad. Back to pickin'.

Welcome to AGF and congrats on your recent acquisitions. Of course, the rule is if you don't post pictures, it didn't happen....

Sounds reasonable! You've probably seen a few of the Claxton in the classifieds recently. I think they were heisted from Paul's site when he had it for sale.
I'll try to play the same trick with the Ryan.
Give me a moment, as I might be the worst IT person currently living.

Well, after trying to post a few pics of the Ryan, I was directed to the "idiot" page for downloading and discovered that I qualify as one!
When I get back in town tomorrow, I'll get some help.
Dropped the Claxton off to get set up by Gil Draper, a wonderful luthier here in Tn who apprenticed with Lynn Dudenbostel, which is about as fine a reference as I can think of. I'll get some pics of it next week.

JCM - welcome to the AGF! Thanks for making that move from observer to participator. I'm not familiar with Claxton so I checked out his website .... Wow! What a fantastic guitar. The Ryan's another outstanding one. Congrats!

Thanks Dru; I've really enjoyed observing, as the quality of information is outstanding. I was kinda' pumped about the Claxton, though.
Ed is an outstanding builder and has been for a while. I was playing about 75% out of Austin in the '70s and early '80s (yeah, old) and some of the best players in the country had his early guitars. Featherlight with an incredible depth, just the right sustain, great playability. I don't hate it...

I'm sure you can add a lot of your experience to the AGF .
