I don't think I could say anything about these guitars that hasn't already been said, absolutely amazing sounding and playing dread!! I was really worried about the neck but it feels great to me and the setup is great, a little nut slot work and it'll be perfect. Now I know what all the hype is about!M2271055-angle-xlarge.jpgM2271055-backbody-xlarge.jpgM2271055-detail1-xlarge.jpgM2271055-front-xlarge.jpg

Congrats to you! These are awesome sounding guitars. And you get the medal of freedom for liking the neck. It's...strange, to say the least.

Play it in good health.

Thank you! After reading all the comments about the neck online I just wasn't sure if I would get along with it so I was actually surprised at how comfortable it feels to me. I do think a little more meat down in the first few frets would've been a good thing though.

Exactly. The girth isn’t the problem. It’s the radical change in thickness between first position and about the 6th fret upwards. If Martin had simply copied the neck on the D-18A 1937, I think they wouldn’t be able to keep these in stock.

I tried but the light wasn't good last night so I took the easy way out.

I will say that the Authentics can rival nice solo luthier instruments....

I love the Authentic series and got a 2015 D28A 41 VTS. To my ears its one of the most sweetest sounding guitars I have ever heard. I went through a few to get this one, and the 37 OMG love them but hate the neck after 45 minutes of playing. Congrats on a killer guitar, doesn't get any better than a great Martin.

I was on the fence between the 37 and 41 just because if my concerns with the neck but now after a few days with the 37 the neck is quite comfortable for me. The sheer horsepower this guitar has is amazing, I'd still like to get ahold of a 41 someday.

I haven't played another production guitar that sounds like the Authentic D-28 1937. I've really the liked the one's I've played, and the two I've bought/sold. Unfortunately, I did not get on with those necks. But, if I ever found one that did fit my hands, I'd be hard pressed not to find the cash for it.

Super cool, and congrats! Beautiful guitars, mine is the one that stopped me buying guitars.

I just don't get the angst about the neck. It's different, it's great. Took me about an hour to get used to it.

The 41 is a nice alternative with all the bass but a little more defined. It is really hard to hear that much of a difference. I like the Madagascar as it has hints of a hog guitar.

Congrats on an amazing guitar!

The 37 is easily my favorite authentic by a mile.
