I'm wondering what strings would be best on my theorbo? DR Sunbeams or DR Rares? Or maybe some Thomastik-Infelds - I think they're on sale for $199 this weekend.

And anybody try replacement locking tuners on this beast?

The theorbo does sound amazing (as does the performer)! Thanks for sharing!

PS - How would I tune it to DADGAD?

Strangely enough, yes, on TV most nights as one is being shown (not played) in a series of insurance company ads.

Default Those tie-on frets, though

Very interesting, at around 6:40, when he started sliding the tie-on frets around, and talking about temperament.
