I have a cargo, a go-grande, and have had numerous other travel guitars over the years. About 6 months ago I started playing the ukulele and now travel exclusively with one. It weighs less than a lb. and and fits under the seat in front of me or in the luggage compartment after everybody else has put their stuff in. When traveling on business, I only have a small amount of time to play and the ukulele provides me with something to noodle around on and is extremely easy to travel with. The added bonus is they are rather inexpensive.

And: no offense, I know that tastes are different.

Thanks to all for the reviews. Well done. The only thing I disagree with is the downgrade for the short-scale. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but you can really not weigh it against tone and stuff.

On the X5: The flat fretboard was what really got me to get another travel guitar than my Backpacker (apart from the fact it doesn't stay in tune). It sucks when you're not a classical player.

Unfortunately, one of the options seems to be gone since yesterday

I was gonna say. The Backpacker is ugly but at least it's kind of funny ugly, this one looks like it's straight from a Picasso scrapbook
