Beautiful rosette John. Spectacular woods and clean work. Two thumbs up

I am not a fan of most of the rosettes out there but that one passes muster with flying colors. Exceptionally well done.

Here are a couple shots from the finishing line. They show just the base coats of clear.

The Redwood (sinker) pops under finish

It is tough to get a good pic of the depth of the rosewood but here it a quick look for now.

The neck will be tinted (Martinish) and the neck "shaft" will be satin.

Love the top John. I’m a big fan of wider and consistently spaced grain across the entire width of the top and this one has it in spades. I bet it will sound great.

Very pretty very chocolate guitar John. It all coordinates so well.
I think I recognize that white room in some of those pics.

John, I'm so happy you are still building this model! I've had mine for 15 years now and it's my favorite acoustic guitar. I'm totally bonded to it and it fits like a glove both physically and tonally. I know this new Brazilian build you're showing here has a lot of your latest design thinking and innovations, but my "old style" version is still fabulous. You really know what you're doing and I thank you (again) for building my dream guitar.

Greg

Here's pic that I took today. It's still in great shape.

Hey Greg,

Thanks for posting the photo of your SD! It has been a while since we put your guitar together. I remember it being a fun process. I sort of forgot about it and am glad that the guitar has served you well all these years.
