Real sweet looking guitar. My choice would be a clear pickguard. That top and shell doesn't need any distraction . And coloured plastic is just that. Lol.

To be fair... It actually match the sides of the guitar pretty well.
And the rosette has a redish brown trim just like it also. With the redish brown trim I think it could look a bit strange without the pickguard.
So far it's not so needed since I only need it when anchoring my pinky, but I'm safe in case my tastes/needs change in the future.
