Default Best acoustic guitar for $600?

OK, I have an allowance/Xmas gift. I love my wife.

Looking at the Farida OT-25, but is there another guitar anyone would recommend it?

Thanks!

If you are close to a Guitar Center be sure to try a Wahsburn Grand Auditorium. Several models to choose from. I love mine and at $399.99 it is a great buy. I also like the Yamaha models s lot.

At that price point, Farida, Eastman, Recording King, Blueridge, Yamaha, and Seagull are usually recommended.

Eastman E1 or E2 series (E1OM, E1D, E2OM,etc.) depending on preference. I picked up an E1OM recently and, despite a couple of minor critiques, it's a heck of a nice guitar for the price... and you'd have some left over to buy strings and stuff.

Taylor GS Mini, Big Baby, or Academy. You could even get a used 214 or 214ce for that price.

Judging by the specs on the Farida, i would stick with that.

A Seagull S6 or one of Alvarez's Masterworks options. Any of these would be a great option. If you can play first it would be best, but I have purchased 2 without playing and been very happy.

As far as all wood guitars - anything from the Epiphone Masterbilt line (shameless plug - I have an AJ-500M I’d let go for $525 shipped). I’ve also had a couple of nice used Blueridge guitars for under $600. People also rave about Eastman, but I’ve personally never played one.

For a couple hundred more, you can likely find a nice Martin D-16GT or 15 series Martin.

For solid top/laminate back and sides, you can pick up a nice used lower end Martin or Taylor.

IME the GS Mini - especially the koa version - is hard to beat in this price range...

The Alvarez Masterworks line is all solid wood and in your range. I have the parlor and love it and just ordered the MD60EB dread with mahogany/sitka.

The new Eastman E2OM with Cedar/Sapele for about $500 is beyond interesting. But I need nothing and rarely play smaller than dread size guitars. But I do miss a Cedar topped guitar. If some of my consignments would sell I might be willing to try one even if I have to pay the shipping both ways if I sent it back?

For $500 this is hard to beat?

Or the Alvarez MD60BG for around $500...both punch way above their price points!
