Same as I do every year, stay at home alone and get trashed on listerine.

Well maybe not. I'll probably open that bottle of highland park and listen to Big Ben bong in the new year.

Rock and roll.

Quiet at home, we will open a bottle of our more fancy ( read: spendy) wine at dinner

My band has a NYE gig at a large country club community. Should be fun, everyone bringing their wives, good food and drink.
This is a full band gig including a Hammond B3 so no acoustic tonight.

Good grief! I’m convinced my back is such a complete mess from having to slog our keyboardist’s B3 coffin (and Leslies) up and down staircases decades ago. What a relief when he left and we switched to synths.

Going to catch a friend’s band tonight for a bit but leaving at 10 to avoid the drunks.

Playing tonight (NYE) with our country band. Dinner/dancing and audience foolishness until the wee hours. I'd rather stay home with my sweetie, enjoy a drink and cigar, and hit the hay before the new year starts. Yeah, I'm jaded ...

Greg Allman (and many others like Keith Emerson...) would tell you an acoustic accompanied by a B-3 is quite the cat's meeeoooowwww........ You guys/gals need to throw in some Allman Bros. songs to make that B-3 smile.

Well, my wife of 45 years and I will struggle, but we will try to stay up to see the New Year in. Truth is, we may not make it. Not a biggie as tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives, just like any other day.

For some reason this made me think of this song it's about birthdays but the concept applies (especially the last verse)

The keyboard player made prior arrangements to have one available on site. Don’t know what it cost him but he said someone owed him a favor.

Some friends are having a party.

It should be a hoot. Everyone is bringing fireworks.

Should be a hoot...

Nuthin' much here. Girlfriend had to work until 6:30. I got a big pizza from a take and bake place this morning. She brought some wine that tastes like vomit.

After pizza, she had one glass of wine and went out like a light. I'm supposed to wake her up in a few, but she's really tired. I'll wait another half hour. I've already had a root beer, working on some lemonade now.

Life in the fast lane.
