Just to follow-up I lucked-in to a new Gibson G-45 Studio at a local shop. Someone had it on layaway and let the layaway expire. The link I posted somewhere above is for the G-45 Standard which appears to retail for $1,299. I cannot find pricing information from Gibson for the G-45 Studio but I think it is/was $999 retail. Reverb has used Studios listed for a $1,100+. I paid the full retail price so I probably didn't get a great deal. But for $999 for a solid wood, USA made guitar I'm OK with the purchase. Apparently the G-45 is discontinued. Currently the J-45 and L-00 Studio Walnut are Gibson's lowest priced options at $1,649. I'm not sure if they are planning something to replace the G-45. On to learning how to play...
