Default Kostal Modified Dreadnought MadRose/German Spruce

Well,

this stunning guitar arrived at TNAG HQ in London and sold a couple of hours later...

Thankfully its new owner allowed me half an hour's grace to shoot a clip for our YouTube channel!

Sweet looking Kostal! Nice to see some other tonewoods for variety's sake anyway.

Michael, any comments on how the madrose compares to Brazilian?

Wow.....Sounds Fantastic.....Clearly, Michael loves the guitar from the expression on his face. :-) It doesn't seem to matter what the tonewood is; Jason clearly knows how to make 'em sing!

Almost sounds as good as mine: I think the difference is the player!

Cheers,
Steve

Well, the MadRose in this case was never supposed to be a Braz substitute... Basically this guitar was ordered on the basis of the first instrument that Jason built upon leaving Ervin Somogyi's workshop, it was a beast! Acoustic magazine UK thought so too! You can read the review here

This is an awesome guitar and is now in the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix Az. I had it on loan while I was waiting for my guitar to be completed

and used it in concert several times, you can see it here

Was this a custom order for a particular client or one you got in knowing that it'd sell like hot-cakes?

I feel gutted I missed it!

This was a stock guitar and I was hoping to have it long enough to show quite a few people...

Nevermind!
