I have changed my mind about posting detailed views of a build process, I see the value in it. Thanks for showing us.

I was surprised it didn't quite show in the picture but I will take another one that show's it better. I may have to do it straight on.

I am very glad you changed your mind.
Could be an overkill of pictures but it's my first Baritone and I am pretty excited about it...in fact, it may be the first Double top Baritone I ever ever seen.

overkill of pics = not possible IMO Keep 'em coming, Peter!

PS - I've been working on some video clips, should have something for you soon!

A little more progress...

Marking out the rosette location for routing.
(check out the silk on that Redwood!)

After careful routing we have a perfect fit for the wood rosette and the violin purflings.

I use Titebond for my wood rosettes as the water based glue will swell the bindings and the purflings for a tight fit after gluing. (we don't want any gaps on the rosette....)

Here it is installed.

And the vacuum bag will press down the rosette while accelerating the cure time.

The grain running in the same direction is a good idea, if it was perpendicular it wouldn't look right. Yea there is alot of meduallary rays in that top forsure. nice
