Default Stuff that we eat that isn't "good" for us

Give me some American yellow cheese, a few slices of toasted bread, some bologna and mayo and I'm a happy guy after two or three sandwiches, lol. Well, before my diet anyway when the wife wasn't looking

What's your poison?

I am an unabashed ice cream junkie. Seriously, I can (and sometimes do) eat it every single day.

Baloney on bread, not porkroll on a Kaiser? You're a Jersey guy, aren't you?

For me, potato chip sandwich on white bread with mayo.

Corned beef, made in my slow-cooker. Fatty, salty, melt in your mouth delicious.

Fried Sicilian pizza, and wings. The best is dipping the fried pizza in wing sauce. Probably will take years off my life, but it was worth it.

Peanuts in Coke
Jitterbug
Sausage gravy and biscuits
Real maple syrup (and lots of it)
Butter

The list, regrettably, goes on....

I'm supposed to be on a low fat, low cholesterol, low salt diet...so my favorite dinner is a steak. I don't get to have one often so when I do, I do it like this. Start with a really nice ribeye seared in grapeseed oil and 2 tbsp's of butter, cooked to medium rare in a cast iron skillet. Follow that with adding more butter to the pan, scrape up this yummy bits, add shallots, then wine to reduce and some stock. Add a baked potato (more butter), some asparagus, and a nice red wine. Oh yeah!!!

Shsssh, don't tell my cardiologist

Buffalo Wings! Not the baked imposter wings, but deep fried and soaked with that wonderful butter infused hot sauce mixture from Buffalo. When I was a younger man, in Upstate NY around 1980-81, we ate hundreds of them. A friend and I would clean the little Italian restaurant that made the best wings in the area, so we could get our wings and beer paid for. Probably not healthy for a guy with high blood pressure now, but I do crave them every couple of weeks... Of course everything else I eat is 100% healthy.

Before my heart surgery, I used to eat much of the aforementioned goodies. Now it's low sodium and low fat for me. I still grab a few slices of pizza or a burger occasionally, but the portion size is significantly reduced. The days of eating a whole pizza, a bucket of fried chicken or a bag of potato chips are gone . There's forty pounds less of me with the new eating habits.
