ROAD TRIP

When I turn the key in my car
Something happens in my soul
I abandon all reason and
Lose all self control
With a need for speed you know
I was born to drive fast
Yep I'm on a road trip
And I'm having a blast

FLYING DOWN THE HIGHWAY
CHECKING OUT THE SIGHTS
WATCHING THE REAR VIEW MIRROR
FOR FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS
LONG AS MY LUCK HOLDS OUT
IT'LL BE A GOOD DAY
A ROAD TRIP WILL ALWAYS BE
MY FAVORITE GETAWAY

I've had my troubles with the law
You know it's a fact
I handle police encounters with
Intelligence and tact
I always thought speed limit signs
Were merely a suggestion
But the highway patrol keeps
Asking me the same question
"Mister can you tell me why
you're driving so fast?"
"Sir I'm on a road trip
and I'm having a blast!"

FLYING DOWN THE HIGHWAY
CHECKING OUT THE SIGHTS
WATCHING THE REAR VIEW MIRROR
FOR FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS
LONG AS MY LUCK HOLDS OUT
IT'LL BE A GOOD DAY
A ROAD TRIP WILL ALWAYS BE
MY FAVORITE GETAWAY

(TAG)
"Sir with a need for speed you know
I was born to drive fast
Yep I'm on a road trip and
I'm having a blast
Yep I'm on a road trip and
I'm having a BLAST!"

This is a fast, very spirited sounding sound with a big emphasis on the "yep I'm on a road trip and I'm having a blast". Fun song to play!
