Default Championship boxing comment

My wife sat with me as I watched the Pacquiao-Matthysse fight Saturday night. As Matthysse was trying to cover from a 3rd round knock down, she said, "Well at least his hair still looks great."

Wrestling, bare fisted extreme fighting in cages, and now boxing are all in the same boat---------it's amazing that anybody is watching with anything but passing interest in the various antics/choreography, "get ups", hair-do's, shorts etc. I think I'd rather watch those guys with minimal teeth shoot alligators (With helicopter and underwater cameras no less)!

Not sure why it’s sad. Pacquiao is a huge success story who has legions of fans all over the world. More importantly, he continues to help those in need in his country.

It’s happy.

was a huge fan of boxing in the late 70's and 80's, seems like thats when all the greats were. Then it seemed to disappear for quite awhile. I'm glad its being televised again. I try to catch a bout when I can, but Pacquiao is about the only name I recognize any more.

But, he also backs Duterte.

A lot of really good fighters today, but the number 1 person to check out is Lomachenko. He's amazing.

Wasn’t referring to his politics. His happy story is related to his success in boxing and continued devotion to helping those in need.

I should have mentioned Mayweather too, but not sure what he is doing anymore.

With what we know about CTE I cannot watch boxing anymore. Disposable people entertaining us is just too sad.
