Cat's in the smoker and the silver spoon
Little Kurt's blue and the man in the moon ...

Sounds like a song to me!

I give it a 45 (out of 50) ... good beat and you can dance to it.

Close to purr-fect, Ross. Off by just a whisker.

Think I'm gonna stick to vegetarian next year at the McJam (although brisket sounds mighty tasty!).

OK you folks have convinced me! I've had a similar experience with the UMGF too. However, you fine folks are quite a bit closer, and there are less of you as well. My wife Cindy, plays and sings as well, but is a Parkinson's patient and the drive to Nazareth take a lot out of her these days. She is also quite a shy lady, but does enjoy these get togethers. Besides I'm retiring in a couple more years and have to decide on a retirement guitar.... I'm thinking a McKnight would certainly fit the bill!
Greetings to all,
Rick Benjamin

Greetings to all,
Rick Benjamin
Great Rick! You'll find that all of us are shy and retiring with one or two exceptions. (sarcasm alert) I'm sure you and your wife will feel right at home.

Attending will give you the opportunity to play a wide variety of Tim's guitars from parlor size to full size dreads and everything in between. Besides the 10 or so guitars Tim has built on spec that are available to try out, several attendees bring their McKnights. I can't speak for everyone, but you're more than welcome to play any of mine. Plus, a visit to Tim's wood room is like being a kid in a candy store.

See you next year! Keep an eye out come January for Mary's announcement.

I'm already working on next year's agenda. I have Ross penciled in for a 30 minute workshop describing the subtle meanings hidden in the lyrics of "Cat's in the Kettle." This should be an eye-opening epiphany for many.

I will include chopsticks and various samples!

Wives are always invited to the McJams. She can be shy, but she will fit in.

I just had another guy sign up. Ross knows him. Bob Beer was here with two other men who only had 3 hours to visit, but will be willing to linger much longer next year.

This is a good place to stay in tuned to what we are up to. I tend to keep the McJam on my mind year round. I collect door prizes and consider that my "other" project after food. Everyone loves a freebie. While we are talking door prizes I don't want any newbie to think this has to be expensive items. One year the local villagers where having yard sales. Mark Wamsley bought a bug light because mosquitoes were driving us nuts. Thing is the bug light was turned on that night and didn't work. It was set on the donation table and hey ... I was game with it being a door prize. Miccki, Ross's wife, won it. She said she liked it and from what I gathered it was at her barn with flowers adorning it. Stories like that make unique items and the McJam feel more like family reunions.

There will always be great, quirky, witness, popular, old time, new times ...etc ... any kind of songs.

Tim and I never participate in singing (on tune) or playing, but we will always love our McJammers who do!

Default Thank you looking forward to this

Mary thank you. I taught Cindy to play several years ago when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's we use the music as physical and mental therapy. We actually host an old time Gospel jam monthly at a local retirement home for the past 7 years. The past 2 months have seen more than 70 of the residents at each jam and many more family members as well. She has done much better with her shyness, and harmonizes with me wonderfully. We just like quirky close family type events that involve music fellowship and of course beautiful guitars.
See you next June
Rick and Cindy

Beware, boys. That "newbie" at next year's McJam might just be an undercover deputy.
