Rather than do a sneaky edit I'll do a new post to amend my last one. The B chord actually starts on beat three not beat 2. Half a bar of E and half a bar of B or B7.

While you can count a slow blues like this with 4/4 triplets, I prefer to think of it as being in 12/8, and I count the time in 2 eighth note groups of 6:
1-2-3-4-5-6, 1-2-3-4-5-6 (the backbeats are on the "4"s this way) Or you could count it once up to 12: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12 (backbeats are on the "4" and the "10" this way) But I like to avoid non-single syllable numbers when counting, so I prefer the first way: 2 groups of 6 per bar. In 12/8 time, therefore, this turnaround is 2 bars long: 1) 123456-123456 2) 123456-123456 |
