Default "Inside Blackbird" Subscription service

John McBride, owner of Blackbird Studios in Nashville, is about to launch a paid instructional streaming service called "Inside Blackbird" with interviews of producers, engineers, and artists teaching the art and craft of recording music. They will open with 200 videos available and 100 in the pipeline. The projected output is two videos per week. The service costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 for a year. Tom Bucovac does an interview with John here to explain it:

Blackbird is possibly the largest studio in the world, both in facilities (nine rooms) and output. They are also home to the Blackbird Academy, a recording engineering and live sound school. Inside Blackbird will debut in May but the site is active now. You can go HERE to find out more. And to gawk at the facilities, go HERE.

Hey thanks for posting Bob
My only regret in just over 3 weeks I spent in Nashville @ Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival , was that because of schedule conflict, I missed out on a chance to get a tour of Blackbird
Side note John McBride is the husband of Country super star Martina McBride

And can we safely assume the first photo is of a Dolby Atmos mixing room ?

Thanks for posting, Bob.

I had the pleasure of doing some recording in Mark Rubel's Pogo Studios in my hometown. Mark left his long-time Pogo to go to Blackbird as Director of Education at Blackbird something like 8 years ago.

There are many Youtube videos featuring Mark, but here's a recent interview shot in the Atmos room, and he does talk about it, as well as a lot of other things in the interview.
