People with more knowledge than I have already given you great ideas to work with, but I just wanted to add this: when I’m in a quandary like this, I put all thoughts of theory aside. Forget what “should” work and just play different chords until you like what you hear. Sometimes that cool thing is outside the box you’re looking in.
