Default Build Thread: Casper OM

Hi Folks,
This is the first build I've commissioned, and its with Ken Casper. We decided on a 13fret 25" scale OM with an Adi top and sinker mahogany back and sides. Cocobolo purling w/ Osage Orange. The build is well along. See pics below:

More to come...

The 13 fret OM is just about ready for lacquer finishing. I am really liking how this Adi/sinker mahogany 13 fret is turning out, can't wait to play her!

Beautiful guitar! There is something special about an unfinished guitar.

Hey Dave, you didn't tell me you had posted your build here! I had some free time tonight and jumped on to see what was happening and was surprised to see the sinker mahogany! I hadn't been on for so long I had forgotten my password

Glad you are happy with the build. I will be shooting lacquer this week, so we are nearing the end! Thanks to the rest of you for the kind words.

Ken

Got strings on Dave's guitar yesterday. It sounds surprisingly good for being so green. I have high hopes for it! A few days on the shaker and I can dial in the action. Nice to have a couple of builds coming off the bench and heading to customers.

I don't think I've ever encountered a 13 fret OM - very eager to hear how it turns out. I think the wood combinations on this are very classy looking, and the rosette is gorgeous!

I have 2. I think they are the perfect solution.
