Default Lyon & Healy banjo - 7 string that plays like a 5 - ethereal, old tones

Posted on the 'verb.

A very unique double-coursing approach to the design program. Fretless w/ flush frets. Walnut neck is a stunner. Sound is otherworldly.

$825 and ships free to lower 48. Thanks!

Default The L&H - Now $740

Rare~ish primitive and clean vibe, and rarer~ish five or doublecoursed setup.

Default Still here, $740

A very clean kit for the collector or otherwise. A little maneuver room on price on offer for the serious.

Default flush fret flushed

Not like the Other category on AGF Classifieds has the heavy current of the Guitar FS thread, encouraging a frequent B^U^M^P schedule,

but if there's a gallery keening on the kit

Did want to mention: I just noticed the topmost flush fret inlay is missing ~.5"ish of the inlay. Updated Reverb listing (above) w/ detail and reference pic.

It's still a gobsmack 19th cen. kit and I'm pretty copacetic w/ where it is - if this pulled anybody's steering wheel, I've updated asking.

Default Under the Thumb

Heads up to any AGFers w/ an errant eye on this kit, I strung it up in its 5tring config over the holidays. I think it's in cCGBC - strings and pegs are still settling, so not patrolling too far from the firebase.

Track now embedded in Reverb post

And here

BTW the Cedar Mountain banjo I mention is here

https://soundcloud.com/branyoner/woodtop2

Not much merit to the improvisations (they were the first notes I played on the instr. after unboxing ca. 2008) - and it is a woodtop w/ a woodtop tone, cf. the skin head on the unmarked L&H - but it does transmit how doublecoursing works in the 7string config. Thanks!

Default double down

... and less quiet b^u^m^p for its quiver sibling to true up attentions. If you've got an eye on either (or both) drop me a note. Similar motivation regime as the Thornburg kit.
