Your colour choice for the neck was good, application is where improvement can be made and that is just experience.

For the first timer, I would recommend sanding the whole neck back to bare wood and repaint the whole neck, then no issues with transition areas.

All in all good.

I agree. Just didn't want to go for the extra work on this one. Fortunately I traded it off about a week ago after months of no interest. Maybe now I can make some of my money back.
