UPDATE, I have now recorded with this Farida OT22 twice and both times it was fairly easy to dial in the proper sound. At one session we did a sort of shoot out between the 64' Gibson J45 I own and this one. Other than the obvious aged tone of the J45, there was minimal difference. it sounds like the guitar is starting to open up a bit more, drop D sounds pretty huge for such a small box.

BTW, the solid back and sides models do have what looks like Farida written in pearl rather in white, which I originally thought, sorry bout that. I had to turn the laptop screen at an angle to see there was a bit of reflection to it.

I bought an Elderly OT-22, and it arrived today. I absolutely adore it. I have a Yamaha FS guitar at work, which is nice for a $200 guitar. It can't touch the growl, intonation, and perfect setup that this $379 guitar has.

I have repeatedly heard how awesome Eastman guitars are ... the Gibson clone models... and have had a few. There were always setup issues out of the box. This OT-22? Nope. And it really does have some LG2 in the sound.

I am just floored, and this little puppy has me ignoring my nice guitars.

Huge endorse. And thanks to the OP for alerting me to the existence of these guitars.

I'm holding out for the 1 3/4" nut. I emailed Elderly, and they said that they would have some soon.

I am a bit of a snob when it comes to guitars and the sound they make but this one surprised me too.
LOL, My other guitars feel a bit neglected and they're not going anywhere but this little OT22 is a fun one.

Lobo...excellent. I like your video more than mine! Sounds balanced, and while these will never have that 50 year old Gibson Low E , due to the finish, it does have a little bark, it's balanced, it looks great, and the setup from Elderly is PERFEcT....

Well thank you, I figured folks needed to view both of our videos for a real test of what the guitar will do and sounds like. It also does have some pretty amazing balance up and down the neck, playing open triad chords or thirds. I think they both serve well to show the sonic warmth of this instrument.

Very nice! Both of those video reviews were terrific! Good job! And what a cool sounding guitar for such a moderate cost!

Thank you!

Just listened to this, and really enjoyed it. But then I went to your videos and played "I Cry". Wow ! Great job. I've always loved that song. Love how relaxed you are. Wish I could sing even half as well as you.

Well thank you Mark! I have been a professional singer all my life, singing backgrounds for a lot of stars, but now I felt like it was time to get back to my first love and that has always been playing guitar for myself and writing. Russ Taff is a guy that we all wish we had a voice like.

BTW, both of my videos were recorded using only my iPad's internal mic, that's it.
