Hi Richard,
You bet!

There’s a 4 day event celebrating John Monteleone that’s ending tonight at The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook, NY. I played on opening night, doing a few tunes with Woody Mann. It’s pretty overwhelming!

John’s building me a 00 12 fret cutaway at the moment.

I can’t wait!

Howard

Wow! I would have driven up from DC for that! Great you played with Woody Mann—he can get exceptional sounds from a guitar, great sense of time. Remember to loop us in when the 00 hits the bench!

Here's a shot of Woody and me with different Hot Clubs.

As far as my 'Playing with Woody Mann' goes, it was more like: I do my my compositions/arrangements, and before we started I said to Woody "Just do your best Jackson Pollock."

He's so far beyond what I do it hard to comprehend.

Looks like a terrific show. I’d played one of John’s Maccaferri-style instruments a couple of years back and it sounded fabulous, though I’m not as good a judge of those as his archtops. Woody seems to play one regularly. Must have been a great evening for the honoree!
