Default We adopted!

We did it, again. Meet Cooper!

This guy came to us about 6 weeks ago. He is 9 years old, and was owned by a gentleman who suffered a brain injury after having a fall. By an odd twist of events, we were connected with the man’s daughter, who was in from out of town while trying to coordinate care for her father, whom will never make a full recovery.

Cooper is full of love, and is like living with Dennis the Menace - he makes you laugh, and pull your hair out. In six short weeks, he has proven to be an ER frequent flyer, and yet, his rear end wiggles and wiggles with joy.

We have watched him become increasingly cuddly, and vulnerable since moving in with us. He now loves to be kissed, and he allows us to snuggle him, which seems to be constantly. He is amazingly youthful for a guy his age.

Welcome home, Coop. We are so glad to be your new forever home!

Love these stories - he may not have had such a wonderful outcome if not for you.

Bless you for doing this. These little angels give so much back to those who love them.

Lucky you and lucky (not-so-young) pup.

I can imagine the old man’s heartache (because I’m an old man), but I can also imagine his relief that Cooper is moving into a loving home. So sweet. And Dennis the Menaces are fun!! I love those ears.

What a wonderful gesture, Kori. It must be difficult for Coop to miss his previous owner after 9 years but I'm sure Coop is happy in his new life.

I, too, adopted a coonhound. What a dog! Had him 9 years before a brain tumor took him. Hilarious, sweet, and the infamous howl. 75lbs of total joy!
