If I felt the way I read you feel about them I'd sell both and get a really clean used Martin, or whatever you find that makes you feel less ambivalent. There is a guitar out there (more than one) that will make you feel like it's the one that needs to come home with you. It seems pretty clear that neither of these make you feel that way.

When you figure out how much a guitar costs per day over the course of your lifetime, get the d18. The sooner you buy it, the cheaper it is.

Why choose? Play both for what they give if you like both for different reasons. One is not necessarily better. They are just different. Unless space or for financial reasons I'd keep them both.

I recently went through this with an Eastman E2OM-CD and Recording Kings. I kept the Eastman over a RO-T16 that was a little tight sounding. Then a RO-318 that was also too tight and lacking bass. Then tried one more RO-T16 that’s a completely different beast - wide open and loud with good bass. So I sold the Eastman. Showed me that it comes down to the individual guitar and not necessarily the model number.

Didn't want to say this, but I'll happily pile on.
