Default FS: Seagull Artist Series Mosaic Folk QII - 27 days old - reduced to $849!!

SOLD - THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST!!

I'm selling an almost new Seagull Artist Series Mosaic Folk QII. I purchased this guitar new 27 days ago from Schumacher Music. I tried out various Seagulls at my local music store and then bought this one online. I thought I knew what I was getting into but the bottom line is the 1.8" neck is just too wide for me.

Otherwise the guitar sounds great. The trebles are really clear and it's pretty balanced. The short scale and wide fingerboard is great for fingerstyle.

I also like the electronics - it has an undersaddle pickup and a boom mike inside. It compares well to the APMic system I have in my Maton (to my ears anyway. Most people won't believe this!).

It comes with a hardshell case and I'll ship it in the same box I got it in.

Price is $899 plus shipping. I'll ship anywhere as long as you pay for it.

Default Here's the specs

The Seagull Artist Series Mosaic Folk QII is an acoustic-electric guitar that features mahogany and cedar tonewoods for a very warm sounding guitar, well suited to softer musical styles. The Mosaic Folk guitar has a custom polished finish for a luster that falls between semi-gloss and high-gloss. The finish is not only gorgeous to look at but is exceptionally responsive.

The new compound curve top concept was originally developed for the Seagull Artist Series guitars and it is in these models that the new design really proves itself. The Artist Series luthiers choose from the very best of a stockpile that includes over a hundred thousand, luthier-grade, solid cedar and spruce boards. In fact, all of the tone woods for the Artist Series are hand-selected to ensure that the very highest standards are met. The scalloped bracing is designed to such precise tolerances that it requires a CNC milling machine to carve the individual pieces to the exact specifications. The finished instruments speak with incredible clarity and character — and that's before they open up. These guitars develop an even deeper character when 'played-in' and will no doubt become lifelong companions to those who choose them.

The new models will look familiar to Seagull enthusiasts, the straight-pull headstock remains—now adorned with a new 'Artist' logo —and the standard Seagull body shape has been altered only slightly with a narrower waist. All models are made with solid backs and sides. The impact of solid sides on the sound of a guitar is virtually immeasurable.

Sound and feel are where the new Artist Series guitars really distinguish themselves. The clear bottom end response arrives with plenty of punch and provides a suitable foundation to the harmonically rich sound that sits on top.

The Godin EPM Quantum II acoustic guitar system provides outstanding sound reproduction and performance. The Quantum II is a hybrid system combining an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer and high quality electret microphone in a simple, but very effective, configuration. The microphone capsule, specifically designed for use in this application, is mounted at the end of a 6 inch flexible boom integral to the side mount electronics. Four rotary controls adjust microphone presence / phase, overall volume, and saddle transducer bass and treble. Electronics and controls are packaged in an easy to use and logical format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate.

Microphone signal can be added and blended either in phase or out of phase with the saddle transducer signal. This allows the user to cancel (or notch) potentially undesirable frequencies while accentuating others. This flexibility in combining signals results in outstanding clarity and richness of tone.

My first serious guitar after I had been playing a couple years was a Artist Series Studio. It was a great instrument. It was great enough to inspire my neighbor, who I played with, to buy one of these Mosaics. It was that guitar that made me realize that I was not only a Mahogany guy, but a Cedar/Hog type of fella. These are great sounding instruments and you can't really go wrong with Seagulls for the money.

Good luck on the sale!

Oh and the TRIC cases are great! I bought a separate one and modified it to use for my Taylor (Cedar/Hog). I love being able to pack my guitar across town on my back.
