Default Upcoming Build(s) Teaser Thread - Iris and Edmonds

After much anticipation, it's looking like my upcoming builds from Iris and Edmonds are nearing completion...possibly around the same time. The worst part is that I can't play both at once - I'd almost rather have a month or so with one before getting the other so I can truly enjoy each NGD (or NG-month) to its fullest.

First up, my "custom" Iris. I will preface this by saying that I don't know if Adam will plan to offer these options moving forward. But, being the pain that I am...the squeaky wheel gets the grease, etc. Specs? Well, I'm a sucker for a good Advanced Jumbo with an Adi top, and I love Guatemalan Rosewood (Dalbergia Tucurensis).

Next up...in my previous Edmonds D18 NGD thread, I hinted that a D28 was coming. That was until I found out that Jimmy was sitting on a nice set of AAA old-growth Brazilian that he obtained from Wayne Henderson. We both agreed that these woods deserve a 42/45 style build, so a D42 it is. My Edmonds D18 has opened up considerably over the last 4 months and is my go-to dread, so I'm really looking forward to this one. The torch headstock design with the Edmonds logo also turned out really nice, and it will be finished in an ambertone 1933 sunburst. Love seeing how this stuff goes from sets of wood to an amazing finished product

More to come!

Man just look at the Adi top on that Edmonds...mmm mmm mmmm. That’s as good as anything from Old Standard Wood, maybe better. And the BRW is gorgeous too.

This is gonna be epic.

A couple of really intriguing guitars. Congrats.

You do have a problem -- two guitars arriving at once. How are you going to deal with this?

He's gonna send one to me and maybe he'll get it back?

I don't like to do this normally, but I'm gonna go ahead and keep that Edmonds warm for you for a month (or so...) so you can really enjoy that new Iris.

You owe me, buddy.
