Default New pics from Joel

Joel has been moving right along on this build and I now have some more pictures of the build to show you all. It's really looking a lot nicer than I had imagined when we were deciding on what wood combination to go with, last September. Let me know what you think.

Carving out the slots for the abalone

Putting on the back braces.

Drawing out where to brace the top.

Rosette finished.

Starting the bevel.

Testing the fit.

Fits good...... let's glue it on.

All ready for the top and back.

Well not a lot of big progress, but Joel sent along some pics of the soundport and sides and end wedge. Take a look. I'm really liking the Myrtle!

Joel has been working away and I just got a new batch of pics. Let me know what you think!!

I wanted to go with a smaller bevel and this is what Joel came up with:

Another of the Bevel:

A size perspective on the Bevel:

Coco backstrip under naptha:

Cutaway and purflings:

Endwedge and purflings:

Very Classy Headstock (IMHO):

The whole back and nothing but the back:

The Top:

I am very excited! The guitar is almost ready to go to Joe White for finishing, so there will be a bit of a gap between new updates, but that also means that the guitar will be finished in early June. Wahooooooo!!
Thank you all for the nice comments, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my new build. I'll keep the pics coming as soon as I get them.

Hey Guys and Gals,
Thank you so much for all your kind comments. Joel has sent me what will probably be the last photos before the guitar goes to Joe White for finishing. I'm am truly excited about how this baby is turning out. I can't wait to see it under finish. Here's the pics that Joel just sent and it's looking like an official guitar at this point. Thanks again. Tom

This is the neck before final sanding?

This is the neck as it will look on the guitar:

The entire front of the guitar:

Not for the faint of heart - the entire back of the guitar:

Another shot of the back showing the sound port:
