Trey Anastasio (Phish) Acoustic Show
Hi Everyone,
Not sure if anyone here is a big Phish fan like myself. Trey has been playing some solo acoustic shows. I was lucky enough to see him Saturday at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. Very intimate show, a treat to see him stripped down with his acoustic. I came across this You Tube (https://youtu.be/T4C1r_UgH7Y) of his 2/8/18 show. The quality is unreal, and thought maybe others would enjoy it. If this is in the wrong forum, my apologies, please move where appropriate. Thanks, Rob |

Thanks for the share, been a Phish fan since I was a teenager. My wife and I had 'Waste' played at our wedding.

Thanks for putting this up here - great show and the link led me to a whole lot of excellent Phish vids. Have been a big Phish phan for over 20 years - discovered them in 1996 when I got my first pc and discovered the wonders of taping and sharing, which has turned me on to so many varied artists from across the world. Trey quickly became one of my favourite guitarists; his electric work on his custom Languedocs is fantastic and mentioned a fair bit, but his acoustic playing is often ignored.

I've always like him. If he comes through my college town I'll be sure to go.

That was cool. Never really got into them at all. When I first heard someone playing them I was on Dead tour and I thought it was a joke. Started laughing and said it sounded like cartoon music.
The phans got pretty unkind (so much for peace and love). I’ve always thought their jams were repetitive, read an interview with them and they talked about “Calling your own hey!” Basically one person starts playing a lick and when he gets it where he wants it he calls “Hey!” Other members join in and do the same. After you’ve called your hey, you can’t change it until it comes back to you. Opposite of improving, since you should play off each other, but they’re more famous than I. But I did enjoy that video!! |
