Anyway, don’t worry, it’s still just a random thought (padouk would be ok, though, right?)

Quick goofy question for anyone here, is there a place to see what number Halcyon/Tinker is currently in progress? I don't want to bug Ed with emails just because I'm curious. I've been thinking mine might be some time at the end of the year but I really don't have any reason to think that, it's just a guess.

Maybe as a suggestion, could the guitar number be added to the instagram / facebook posts of finished guitars?

It's not that important, really, just something to satiate us excited folks.

Default New Halycon order No. 260

I just placed an order with Ed for Number 260 which will be a OO-12 fret. It will have Indian Rosewood back and sides, aaa adirondack top, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Koa binding and rosette and a 25in scale and 1 3/4 nut. Ed said the waiting time is about 10 months.

I do want to thank everyone for their willingness to share information about their Halcyon guitars and about their dealings with Ed. Your comments were very influential towards convincing me to place my order. My experience with Ed is consistent with everyone else's. Just very easy to deal with and i very much appreciate his responsiveness, attentiveness and guidance.

Hi! Just joined this forum which I found with a Google search about Halcyon. There was a post from someone who had Ed build him a "J45" - it was #50.
I sent my deposit last night - I'm on the list at #261! In less than 24 hours since I first contacted Ed by email, he has been super-responsive and helpful.
So, Sloped Dreadnaught, Torrified Lutz, Mahogany...I know it won't be soon but, I've spent more than 2 years looking at 1960's J45/50 and none of the ones I could afford were acceptable.
My sister-in-law has #106 - it's a small guitar - that I played a lot over the past weekend and I was blown away by it.

Now, I can stop shopping and just wait.

Meanwhile, I have my trusty 1969 Yamaha FG-150 to play. It's the best sounding plywood guitar I've ever heard so, it ain't so bad to wait. I also have my Kanilea ST-1 uke to keep me busy.

Outstanding! Be sure to post when you get it so the rest of us with higher numbers can begin to wet ourselves in anticipation.

FYI, I have #246 on order and Ed said it would be several more months before he starts on mine. I won't lie, that made me excited all over again!

Reviving old thread. Anyone receive a recent Halcyon? Trying to figure out what number he is working on at the moment! #249 feels so close, yet so far away! [emoji30]

Default me, too!

It would be nice to know what has shipped and what's in active build status. I'm guessing that not everybody who orders a guitar from Ed is on this forum so, we'll just wait and see.

I’ve probably annoyed Ed with update emails at this point, but it’s hard to sit and wait. Most of the time I forget I’m on the list, but at the same time it’s always in my head that it’s coming soon (hopefully). Crazy that I’m seeing numbers up into the 250s and 260s. Hopefully the 249 is close!! [emoji16] where are you at?
