Great job as always Dale.

LLB is the standard for excellent covers.
Thanks for sharing.

This made my day. I was a late bloomer to rock music perhaps from growing up in an eastern Kentucky bluegrass household but when I first caught an earful of Roll With The Changes, I promptly purchased my very first rock and roll record, REO's tuna fish album. REO went on to become the soundtrack to my high school years and the pinnacle of them all, High Infidelity and most every track on it became my senior year anthems. I still remember driving around the Kentucky hills between our little town in Bath County all the way over to Lexington with my girlfriend sitting right beside me, listening closely to the top 40 to see if "Keep On Loving You" would make it to number one and nearly running into the ditch when it did! LOL

If I'm not mistaken, that song held the number one spot in the top 40 for more weeks than any other song in 1981.

REO even made it to Rupp Arena on that tour and I can still remember my buddies Mitch, Steve and Mitch C, (I know, two Mitchs'?) Having one of the best nights of our school days at the concert. The music of REO and the use of the acoustic guitar paired with the slightly folk tinged writing styles of both Kevin and Gary helped lure me into acoustic guitar and writing and performing in bands as well. One of my earlier bands were even open to covering REO and we did Take It On The Run and oddly enough, Rock And Roll Star. I saw the band many times with the original (to me anyway) Kevin, Gary, Neal, Bruce and Alan lineup and also caught the lineup that still includes Dave Amato a few times. I got to meet Gary shortly after the split from REO and I really miss the magic that seemed to happen when the original band played live.

You guys did an amazing cover of "Roll" and have left me feeling all nostalgic now. Thanks for posting that and for covering it so well especially Gary's unique and often overlooked and under appreciated guitar tone and playing. I think y'all did him proud.

Great job! Gary Richrath had a tendency to bend sharp that drove me crazzzzzy. You guys have pulled that in and I like it.

Well done as always - great tune from the last really good REO recording.

Maybe Golden Country next??

Whether you're here or on TGP, you do cop some nice stuff, Dale. One of my all time Rock 'desert island' guilty pleasures. Thanks for the LLB master class, as always. Fun stuff.
