Try the Lyric lengthwise between the bars? The mic is at the center, I don't think turning it 90 degrees would make that much difference.

That's an interesting question, I own two Ovations but they are electrified. Haven't looked at that bracing in years, but I know there is no bridge plate.

Cool I had to put it at a 45 degree angle for my Doubleneck. What's another 45 degrees! LOL. Glad it worked.
