At least you won't miss the Bruins game - the Red Sox play tomorrow in the afternoon and the Bruins at night.

I didn't miss either. Incredibly, just as I was leaving work I got offered Bruins tickets too. And I declined. I've never seen a B's game in person, and been to at least 100 Sox games over the decades, so obviously I'm out of my mind. But I had committed to the Sox already and couldn't see myself spending 12 straight hours in Boston doing both. My wife gave me a little bit of grief when she heard about it, she was up for it. But I noticed that she was sound asleep on the sofa before the 1st period was half over when we got home after a cold raw 3.5 hours at Fenway.

Yes; it is going to be a tough season in Detroit. It's hard to watch players like Scherzer and Porcello and David Price and J.D. Martinez and Justin Verlander be so successful elsewhere and wonder at what could have been.

I don't begrudge them their success--I wish them all well. I just wish that it had all come together in Detroit.

We need a frowny face Tiger emoji.

P.S. Add Ian Kinsler to the Tigers I miss!

Both the Bruins and Red Sox are doing great! Looks like the Patriot Day game was cancelled today though. Must be a tough day for the marathon runners ... I'm assuming that in addition to rain it's also cold in Boston.

It's rotten. I live about 50 miles west of Boston - it was snowing when I left this morning. I work about 5 miles west of Boston and it's rain, heavy at times, and cold. I don't even want to run to my car this afternoon, I don't know how those kooks can spend hours running on a day like this. Besides the game, a few other events - it's Patriots Day, a holiday in MA - were cancelled. The parade in Concord among them. It sounds like the one in Lexington still went off though.

Red Sox are hot. League best record 14-2, including beating the Angels last night, who have the 2nd best record in the majors.

Jose Bautista (ex-Blue Jays) signed a minor league deal with Atlanta.

You watching any Tigers' games, JPD?

Ugh. Mariners are hanging in there against the White Sox. 7-0 oh well, glad I have a good sense of humor

Oakland A's took 2 out of 3 from the hottest team in baseball this past weekend. Arguably they have the best line-up right now as they are near top in all offensive categories as of tonight. Only problem is pitching and the lack of it will probably keep them around .500 all year long.

Have faith. You're in the same division as the AAAA Pittsburgh Pie Rats. They've lost their last 4 and have already slipped to 3rd place in the NL central.

Not that I watch them anymore, but you can't help but hear things.
