Default Birthday - MP3

Here's a quick recording. It's my son's birthday tomorrow (or today depending on time zone), so I thought I'd do this tune. I did it between working today and this evening.

It was a last minute thought, but it is his 16th birthday, A big milestone for him. The rick 12 simulation from the Variax makes the recording for me.

Well, you know that I'm a BIG fan, Rockerbob! Are you saying that you just went down into that gear-filled studio of yours and came out with this? All by yourself? How much fun is that! I hope your son appreciates the effort. Mine's 24, and I just know that once in a while ( ) he thinks I do lame, old-guy stuff.

Nicely done, my friend! Do you take requests?

Thanks! Yes, this was a couple of fun hours in the studio.

What request did you have in mind?

I 've really enjoyed your stuff since landing here last month.
Nice falsetta there!
You and others here seem to be Beatle fans like me. I did a "Here Comes the Sun" cover last night when I had the house to myself a couple of hours, which is rare. I'll post it once I edit it, your renidition of helplessly hoping encouraged me to take on something with multiple harmonies.
I dont know about you guys, but my kids (2 sets of twins-9 and 16 year olds) seem to think I was just born playing -they really dont recognize it as anything special.
But, when their friends come around, the friends are very interested and somewhat impressed.

Thanks PNG! Yes, another Beatles fan.

My son has started to realize I'm a little different than the other Dads.

Eddie: sorry you are having trouble hearing the mp3. You might try right-clicking and saving the file to disk.

Freebird!!

How about a little Beach Boys?!! (Still trying to hang on to what's left of summer here in the midwest, I guess.) Or JT (love the guitar on 'Mexico'). Or more CSN (maybe even a little Y thrown in too). Or... or... you know.
