Don't think anyone has recommended them yet but the Eastman semi-hollow guitars are very nice. The T386 is the least expensive of their offerings in that category, prices seem to have gone up on Eastmans but you may be able to find a good deal on one if you're patient.

An electric preamp with cabinet emulation, between guitar and acoustic amp, might work. The preamp gives the electric sound and the acoustic amp works as a mini PA to make it louder.
