Sounds good.

I like the way you arranged the chords and your voice has sincerity to keep it interesting and compelling.

Sounds good! Maybe consider leveling the vocal and guitar tracks. Guitar seems a bit hot.

Thanks for the very nice comments. It's basically one track. I'll see how I can re-position the mic to get a better mix.

Very nice, I really like this song and your version!
How interesting I just put down my guitar after a 20 min session with just this song.
Mine is a heavy pick attack style in the Carter vein.
Slow with hard single notes.
I like how yours opens with the chord strumming.
Honestly I like your version better.

I like your version. Very similar to the way we do it. We add a mandolin as there are two of us and it sounds awesome together. Sometimes we do it with a harp. Either way, it's a great old standard.

Emmylou Harris did a great version of it back in the 70s (I believe). My version is loosely based on that.

Yes, very solid and done with feeling. I only just heard this song over weekend as was suggested to me. Also tried to sing it and enjoyed it.

I agree with some others, would have liked to have the voice much more out the front in the mix, would have given the emotion even stronger feel.

Great performance!

If you're recording with just the built in mics on the Tascam, try getting them a little closer to your mouth next time and a little farther from the guitar. In this recording the guitar sounds very up front and the voice sounds a little more distant, and I think a lot of people (myself included) would prefer the other way around.

Nice job though!

Sounds like you've captured that "Cold Mountain vibe". Well done and very enjoyable listening.
