Just a friendly bump to say how very grateful I am for John’s awesome custom builds! I continue to be floored by the tone, VOLUME when whacked, ergonomics and playability! And they sound lovely played softly with bare fingers too. I am sure this will be killer too. Eagerly awaiting more…. Cheers Paul

Well I give thanks for all the kind remarks.
A special thanks to my brother Steve who gave me some scraps of "The Tree" to inlay into all the bevels (3) on this guitar. We originally thought it might be good to let Tony fade them in and out of the ebony binding but the stand alone shape is growing on me.

John has been incredible to work with. Not only has he incorporated all my ideas and wants, he has improved upon them. I have really appreciated his guidance.
Once Tony has applied his magic, and John attaches the wonderful neck and head stock he’s working on, I believe I will have my lifetime guitar. It will be awhile to come back from Tony but totally worth the wait. A big Thank You to everyone who has been making such wonderful comments about “The Hippo”. Lol I’m certainly anxious to wrap my arms around it. Thank you John!
