A splendid trio, Randy. There’s a sound for all seasons there.

Thanks David. I couldn't be happier than with these three. As an aside, in last week's (5/27/2022) Shipping Video, Alistair pointed out how the black carbon sides really make the Pomelle Boss top "pop." While that's quite true, I was actually hoping when I put this guitar together on the 3D Builder that the black carbon would meld into the dark edge of the Amber Burst top, which it also does quite nicely. If you think about it, that's kind of contradictory, but I believe that the black sides do both...

And like all other Emeralds, it's uber-comfortable to hold and play. I love it. None of my Emeralds has electronics and all have black carbon back & sides.

LEFT TO RIGHT: X20-12 with Amber Burst over Pomelle Boss veneer; Amicus Black Carbon; X20 with Black Limba veneer.
Whoa that 12 string is a sight! What a beautiful burst...Congrats RP!

That's actually exactly what I was going for when I spec'd my X20-7 - it's amber CF on top, black back and sides. The blend is very nicely done, and just what I had in mind. This is one of the Emerald glamour shots:

You're right David - that's a great blend between top and sides...

How long did it take for them to build from the time you ordered?

It was about 10 weeks for my X-20 as well, ordered in mid Nov 2021, received end of Jan 2022.

That's pretty good taking Christmas/New Year holidays into account. I must have been lucky and hit them during a quiet patch. I ordered my X20 on 27 April, and it appeared with RP's 12-string in the shipping video a month later on 27 May, arriving with me yesterday (8 June). I thought that, living in England, I might just beat RP, but amazingly he received his last week. I'm delighted though as I was told to expect to wait at least 2 months.
