McNally Cedar Parlor
This is my new acquisition, to say the least because the guitar is from 2012 and its first owner is a member of this forum. This is a McNally Cedar Parlor. The truth is that in all this time they have treated her very well because she is pristine. I'll tell you more about her.

I had undone the Martin OM-18E and the Eastman AC-812. I can not mate up so many guitars, and the truth is that the Loef could be my only guitar. It's wonderful! But I wanted a small guitar to take her with me to all places, and this McNally fell in love since I saw her.

Niiice! Ciaran McNally does great work….and you have a Loef? 2 fantastic European builders. You got all you’ll ever need! Enjoy.

Thanks. I put Martin Retro Monel strings on it, but I think phosphor bronze would have been better. I'm going to try.

What a lovely little cedar guitar. Congratulations!
(Agreed about trying phosphor bronze.)

Is there anyone out there who also has Ciaran McNally guitars?

RCongrats on a lovely guitar.
I have two OMs, a 12 string (spruce/rosewood) and a 6er with cutaway (cedar/walnut). NGD thread for the 6 in my history and I'm playing it in the song in my sig, and a few other threads in Show & Tell forum. Both are excellent instruments and I love owning them. I also have a dread (adi on mahogany) ordered from ciarán, expected in November. He provides incredible craftsmanship and superb sounding instruments and I could not find any better luthier for my tastes. The fact he is also my countryman and the guitars are made on the Island of Ireland is great too. Ps I tried martin retro monels on my 6er. I like them on a Martin dread or OM, I did not like them at all on this guitar. Zingy, harsh metallic under tones. Back to Lifespan PB.

Thanks. I see you are really passionate about Ciaran's guitars. I will listen to you and when I can I will change the Retro Monel for EJ16 or John Pearse.

Definitely much better with EJ16!
I think I will never change the brand and model of strings again, besides, it is already very easy for me to change them on the slotted head.
