Oh, I bet you do! And I can see why. What a great amp!

I am totally sympathetic!

Sold all of my electrics except my first "good" guitar a 92 American standard strat. I'm tempted once in a while after watching a cool video or seeing a band, but I have this irrational midlife crisis goal of performing in some way shape or form and feel my chances of being in a band are pretty slim. So I keep plugging away at building a solo repertoire.

I thought of selling a bunch of stuff a few years ago. Glad I didn't because now that I'm really ready I'll get a few more bucks for them. Not sure if I'll sell my top drawer stuff. Gibson CS prices keep going through the roof.

A few years ago, I realized that I’d begun to accumulate electric guitars - including a couple of lap steels, I think I was up to 9 or 10 at one point. I’d convinced myself it was a collection, but it really was an accumulation. I was buying for the sake of it - “that’s a great deal!” - “I haven’t got a blue one” - “everyone should have a shortscale electric” - that sort of thing.

I sold just about everything, except my beloved Rickenbacker, and an old Hondo which has tremendous sentimental value. I’ve since added an Ibanez hollow body, and I think I’m set. I can make pretty much all the sounds I want to, and have other things I’d rather spend my hobby money on.

Being late to the electric party (only the last 5 years out of playing since 1964)

I have only two, and will likely take them to the grave

Like the OP (and some others), I'm mostly acoustic guitar, so that inventory has grown with two more on pre-order, right now. I still have two electric guitars and a Helix LT floor pedal, in the hopes that I may break out the electric guitars when I find more time. Right now, those two are more than I need, and I've considered selling one or both of them at various times.

Haven’t done it, but the time for reducing my electric guitar inventory is very close. My (very) long-time electric band is finally calling it quits soon so I won’t be needing the variety of guitars that I have. I’ll never be without a couple, though. I have some nice amps, too, so I’ll keep a couple of those also.

As a previous poster already said, "yes" and "yes". In a fit of musical depression, I sold a '59 Les Paul, an '79 Strat and a Marshall stack for peanuts. I kick myself on a daily basis.

My recent solution: I bought a Squier Tele and a low cost Strat. Also picked up a great little Bugera V5 tube amp for under $150. Now, if I let the electrics sit for months I don’t feel bad, and I am not tempted to sell them as they’re not worth enough to worry about it. Still, because they’re set up beautifully, they play great when the urge strikes.

When I’m all done for good, I’ll find an enthusiastic young person and gift them to him or her. A win-win.

Love this idea.

Default Selling electric guitars

Sold our G&L Strat's and Tele's, Nash Strat, Tele and 2 Fender Tele's and a Fender Bassman Amp.

Kept our American 3 shade Sunburst Strat, Epiphone Les Paul Standard and a 30th anniversary Gold Top Les Paul and a 90's Les Paul Custom.

I don't miss them. Really glad we kept what we did.

Ha, I did the opposite. I had a 1980 Strat sitting in the closest for 2+ decades.
Took it out recently and got it dialed in. Had a hard time bonding with it because the neck is an A type with a 1.5 inch nut, way to small.

So……that started a journey which led to 2 sweet Partscasters, one of which has the X1 pickups from my 80s Strat.

And I picked up a 2010 MIC Classic vibe Strat, that is surprisingly great.

Now I just need to fix up an old Hot Rod Deluxe amp. I also picked up Bogner Alchemist amp. Needs work but sounds great.
