JBL EON Compact in stock

Hi all,

I know a lot of you are waiting on this. Sweetwater have some stock and I will have mine tomorrow. I will post an unboxing and initial impressions on my YouTube channel tomorrow and post a full review shortly after.

Please let me know if there is anything specific that you would like me to check out/compare to the S1 pro.

Yes I do and if the JBL is good then I will compare them both together. If you subscribe to my channel you will be notified when the video goes live. I will post a link here as well.

If it's possible I'd love to hear an outdoors test (because I busk a lot) to see if whether the S1 Pro or the JBL has more reach, headroom and which sounds better. Truly appreciate it!

I’ll do what I can but may not go and play outside in this NYC weather! Lol thanks everyone. I’m excited to be one of the first to test this out. It could be amazing for my city gigs. If you guys would subscribe to my YouTube channel I would really appreciate it.

There seems to be some concern about the volume level on battery power compared to plugged in. I and others would be very interested in that, also the JBL app. The total amount of EQ is suppose be greater than the manual dials, please give that a through run througn

Hi Aaron,

Here is my wishlist:

1) Is the JBL eon one compact less loud when performing on batteries?
2) Are the jacks' preamp gains strong enough for a weak output active pickup to clip? (ex: Baggs)
3) Is the hi-Z input preamp gain strong enough for K&K pickup to clip?
4) Are the Mic input preamp gain strongh enough for SM58 to clip?
5) Does the unit get anormally hot?
6) Does the low end "fart" or compress when pushed?
7) Does the tone become harsh at high volume?

Does it sound good ?

I recently tried a borrowed Bose S1 and found it simple and effortless to get a great sound, with enough volume and penetration for my needs. Was ready to pull the trigger , but saw the JBL Compact post's and figured I'd wait a bit. Looking forward to your review.
